When wisdom teeth don’t have enough room to come in properly, they can become impacted, cause discomfort, or make cleaning difficult.

You brush your teeth. You floss. You even make it to your dental appointments. But are you cleaning your tongue?

A tongue scraper can help remove the buildup of bacteria, food particles, and debris that can collect on the surface of your tongue — and it can leave your mouth feeling extra fresh.

How to use one:
1️⃣ Stick out your tongue
2️⃣ Gently place the scraper toward the back of your tongue
3️⃣ Pull it forward with light pressure
4️⃣ Rinse the scraper
5️⃣ Repeat a few times
6️⃣ Rinse your mouth and voilà — fresh!

Wearing your retainer is important… but keeping it clean is just as important.

Here’s your retainer cleaning routine:

Rinse it — Give it a rinse with cool or lukewarm water after taking it out.

Gently brush it — Use a soft toothbrush (no toothpaste!) to remove buildup.

Skip the hot water — Heat can warp your retainer, so keep it cool!

Give it a deeper clean — Use a retainer/denture cleaning tablet as recommended by your dental team.

Clean the case too! — Your freshly cleaned retainer doesn’t belong in a dirty case.

And remember: your retainer is not indestructible! If it becomes cracked, warped, or no longer fits properly, let your dental team know.
