🐝 Meet Dr. Greg Cahoon

We’re excited to have Dr. Greg Cahoon at Bee Family Dental, providing wisdom teeth extractions and IV sedation. This means our patients can receive surgical dental care in the comfort of the clinic they already know and trust without having to visit another office.

Dr. Greg’s passion for dentistry began at a young age, inspired by his uncle, who was also a dentist. At 21, he spent a summer working alongside him to see if dentistry was the right career. Watching the way his uncle cared for patients confirmed his calling, and one piece of advice has stayed with him ever since:
“Take your time making your decision, but once it’s made, go all in.”

He earned his DDS from Creighton University in 1998, practiced in Las Vegas for 15 years, and returned to Calgary in 2012. Today, his general dentistry practice focuses on IV sedation and dental surgery.

Another quote that guides his approach is:
“Seek first to understand, then to be understood.”
He believes this is especially important in healthcare, where listening to patients and understanding their concerns are the foundation of exceptional care.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Greg enjoys golfing, mountain biking, snowboarding, and spending time with his family in the mountains.

Yesterday marked two years since Bee Family Dental first opened its doors on June 4, 2024.

What started as a vision to create a welcoming, patient-focused dental clinic has grown into something truly special, thanks to the trust of our patients and the dedication of our incredible team.

Over the past two years, we’ve had the privilege of caring for our community, building lasting relationships, and sharing countless smiles along the way.

✨ Meet Dr. Seema Basati, our endodontist who has been caring for Bee Family Dental patients since July 2025.

Dr. Basati practices with intention - where skill meets purpose and care extends far beyond the dental chair. Splitting her time between Calgary and New York, she brings a refined, patient‑centred approach rooted in excellence and empathy.

She joins us once a month, providing endodontic treatment right here in our clinic. Instead of sending patients out to a specialist, we bring the specialist to you — offering advanced care in the same familiar space, and making treatment more comfortable, convenient, and seamless.

Dr. Seema believes having a skill set comes with a responsibility, which is why she dedicates time each year to dental missions, using her expertise to help those in need and create meaningful impact where it’s needed most.

Her standard is simple: safe, pain‑free care built on trust, where every patient feels seen, heard, and treated like family.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Seema enjoys travelling, baking, and spending time with her family - the moments that keep her grounded and inspired.
