A radicular cyst, also known as a periapical cyst, is the most prevalent type of odontogenic cyst. It forms at the apex of the root of a non-vital (necrotic) tooth/teeth as a result of chronic infection or trauma. Typically asymptomatic and identified through X-ray imaging. Treatment options include root canal therapy, surgical enucleation, or extraction of the affected tooth/ teeth.
In this case we successfully completed treatment, including surgical enucleation and root canal therapy on 2 teeth that were involved in the cyst.
