A new school year is just around the corner, and if you have braces, a little preparation can make all the difference!

Make sure your backpack is stocked with a few orthodontic essentials:
🪥 Travel toothbrush & toothpaste
🦷 Orthodontic wax (for any pokey wires)
🧵 Ortho flossers or dental picks (for lunch time)

Keeping these items on hand makes it easy to care for your smile wherever the school day takes you.
A few extra minutes of care each day will help keep your smile on track and your braces looking the best!

That month felt like it flew by! I guess time does fly when you are having fun!

Royal Blue stole the show as our most popular braces colour—such a great summer choice! We also celebrated Amanda’s birthday - enjoyed a delicious Dubai chocolate cake 🤤 and celebrated our FOURTH anniversary of Caledonia Orthodontics 🎉

“What hurts more than having braces on?” 🤔

You might be surprised to hear that many everyday things can feel more uncomfortable than braces! A stubbed toe, biting your cheek, stepping on a LEGO, or even drinking a freezing cold beverage with sensitive teeth can sometimes feel worse. 😅

The truth is, getting braces or having adjustments made may cause some tenderness, but for most patients, it’s temporary. As we always say, everyone is different—some people feel very little discomfort, while others may notice a bit more.

The good news? Any soreness doesn’t last forever. In braces terms, we’re usually talking just a few days at most! 🦷✨

A little short-term discomfort leads to a lifetime of confident smiles, and we think that’s definitely worth it! 💙
