4 Bad Habits when it comes to our oral health!! 🦷
1. Chewing Ice can damage the enamel of your teeth, test existing fillings, and even cause your tooth to fracture!
2. Brushing right after carbonated or acidic beverages will rub the acic into the enamel, causing erosion and damage to your teeth.
3. Biting your fingernails has the same effect as chewing ice, but even worse, because nails are made of a very hard protein known as keratin.
4. Sweets before bed - this is obvious as sugar is the cause of cavities. However, it is worse when you're sleeping because at this point your mouth is the driest, which is a very favorable environment for bacteria to use the sugar and cause damage to your teeth!
