Dear Patients,
First and foremost, we hope this message finds you and your family well. Our community has been through so much the last few months and now with all the efforts everyone made flattening the curve we have the opportunity to welcome you back! We are excited to see you and look forward to providing dental care for you and your family again. We are gradually opening the office with many changes and these changes are in place to continue our commitment to your health and safety.
We started working last week to help those patients who have needed dental work that was causing them discomfort and pain during the mandated shutdown. Now that we have helped those patients, we are gradually opening the clinic for regular, non-essential appointments. Please be patient with us as we slowly return to regular care, we must all remember that we are still in a pandemic and community safety is essential.
Our office has always followed strict infection control standards and utilized proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). However, in order to keep us all protected during this pandemic and in the future, we have instituted additional guidelines and protocols that exceed the recommendations of our regulatory body, the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO).
You will encounter these changes even before you enter the office. Below are some of the enhanced precautions we have implemented to protect you:
• Online, telephone, in-office health screening questions of
patients and staff
• Non-contact temperature reading upon arrival
• Personalized arrival procedures to guide you from your car to
treatment rooms
• Staggered appointment times to minimize the number of
patients in the clinic
• Hand sanitizers positioned throughout the clinic
• Rearrangement of the waiting room to ensure proper physical
distancing
• Removal of magazines/toys, games, coffee machine, and water
from waiting room
• Glass barriers in reception areas
• Ambient air management with installation of hospital grade
HEPA 14 air purifiers in every treatment room and reception area
• Oral pre-procedural rinse
• Enhanced disinfection protocols for common areas and
treatment rooms
• Enhanced PPE
We have designed these procedures to create the safest environment for our patients, our team, and our community. We look forward to seeing you again.
