Please note that our office will be closed in observance of the statutory holiday, Good Friday, and will reopen again on Monday, April 10th. If you are celebrating the Easter holiday, we wish you and your family a festive celebration.

In response to decreasing cases of COVID-19, the Ontario government will be lifting mask mandates across the province, starting Monday March 21, 2022.

We would like to inform our patients that with these new measures in place, this does NOT, however, include health care facilities, such as our dental practice.

If you have an upcoming appointment, please remember to wear your mask when entering our facility. If you do not have a mask, we will provide one for you. Thank you for understanding and we look forward to seeing you at your next appointment!

Muskoka Dental is pleased to welcome Dr. Maiya Yokich to our office starting in July 2021. Dr. Mousavi will still continue to take good care of our patients on Mondays. Dr. Yokich obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Toronto. She is a member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, Ontario Dental Association and Canadian Dental Association. Dr. Yokich is accomplished in all areas of general dentistry including restorative, pediatric, endodontic and cosmetic dentistry. Through her practicum at the University of Toronto, she worked with patients with special needs, as well as patients from the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health.

Dr. Yokich is motivated to provide her patients with a relaxing and comfortable experience. Her goal is to work together with her patients so that they may be active participants in their oral health planning and care. She is also an avid believer in continuing education and looks forward to extending her learning continuously throughout her career to be able to deliver the highest standard of care.

Dr. Yokich was a competitive dancer for most of her life and continues to dance in her spare time. She also enjoys running, hiking, pilates and yoga. One of her favourite things to do—outside of her professional life—is to spend time at her cottage in the Parry Sound District. Her love for the outdoors is what compelled her to move to Muskoka. She is excited to be a part of the Bracebridge community and looks forward to meeting everyone.

Our office remains open throughout the provincial shutdown as part of the essential services in the province. We hope this message finds you all well. We have recently been notified by our regulatory body and the Ministry of Health that all regular dental care (including cleanings and non emergency care) can now be scheduled.

To ensure patient and staff wellbeing during the pandemic, we are taking a number of steps to allow for safe and seamless care. Some of these changes include:
- Prescreening prior to booking
- Plexiglass barriers
- Individualized patient appointments to minimize contact and maintain physical distancing.

As we gradually begin to recall our schedules, we appreciate your patience and understanding. We will be in touch with you very shortly to rebook your appointments.

We hope that you and your loved ones are doing well and staying healthy during these unprecedented and unpredictable times.
