✨ MEET DR. AKSH! ✨

We’re excited to welcome Dr. Aksh to the Blackfalds Smiles team! 🦷

🇨🇦 Born & raised in BC he now calls Alberta home!
Fun fact: he speaks Hindi & Punjabi fluently!

His approach with patients is simple: listen, be patient, and work WITH you. He’ll always take the time to understand what you need, explain your options and come up with a plan together.💙

Now for the fun stuff…

🏀 He’s always up for something active! Basketball, tennis, golf, hiking or snowboarding!
🎤 Loves stand-up comedy, concerts & live music
🍽️ Always down to try a new restaurant
💈 Taught himself to barber during COVID… he was the go to guy for all of his friend's cuts!
🦷 Chipped his front teeth playing tag as a kid, maybe dentistry was meant to be!

When he’s not doing one of the above, you’ll probably find him travelling, at the movies, hanging out with friends or deep into his latest TV binge.

We’re so happy to have him joining us! Help us give Dr. Aksh a big Blackfalds welcome! ❤️🦷

What an incredible day! This year, we were able to help 24 members of our community receive FREE dental care and we couldn’t have done it without the amazing people who volunteered their time, skills, and hearts to make it happen. 🥹

A HUGE thank you to Dr. Mason, Haley and Kiara the hygienists, Rebecca and Amber the assistants, Tanya on admin, and Brittany the registered nurse intaking our patients. We are so grateful for each and every one of you, we definitely couldn't have done this without you! 💙

And a special shoutout to the incredibly thoughtful patient who surprised our team with pizza! 🍕 You definitely helped fuel us to the finish line. THANK YOU!

We are so proud to make Free Dentistry Day an annual tradition at Blackfalds Smiles, and we’re not stopping here…

We’re incredibly excited to once again give back to the community that has supported us so much throughout the years 💙

This Sunday, August 23rd, our team is opening our doors to provide FREE dental care to local residents of Blackfalds and Lacombe without dental benefits.

Patients can receive ONE free treatment:
🦷 Cleaning
🦷 Filling
🦷 Extraction

No appointment needed — first come, first served.

If you know someone who has been putting off dental care because they don’t have coverage or simply can’t afford the cost, please share this post with them. 💙

Our goal is to help as many members of our community as we can, and sometimes a simple share is all it takes to reach someone who really needs it.

👶🩷 A very special addition to the Smiles family!

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Mason and Chloe on the arrival of their beautiful new baby girl, Eliana! We couldn't be happier for them as they begin this exciting new chapter. 🍼✨

As Dr. Mason takes some well deserved time to bond with his growing family and embrace life as a new dad, his clinical schedule will be slightly reduced over the coming weeks. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this special time.

Our team remains here to care for all of your dental needs, and we'll continue working hard to accommodate appointments as quickly as possible.

💙 What an incredible day! 💙

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support our 3rd Annual Summer BBQ! Because of your generosity, the amazing efforts of our volunteers, and the community businesses who donated to our silent auction we raised over $1,400 for the Blackfalds Seniors Group! 🎉

It was an afternoon filled with great food, fun games, face painting, smiles, and so many wonderful conversations. Seeing our community come together to support such a great cause is exactly why we love being part of Blackfalds.

Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, attended, and helped make this event such a success. We couldn't have done it without you! ❤️
