“Never do Maryland bridges; they don’t work.” - my instructors at school taught us this. Over the years I’ve mostly avoided doing these because of what we have been taught. However, continuing to learn from experts such as Dr. Mathias Kern, Dr. Markus Blatz, Prof. Dr. Markus B. Blatz, Dr. Mario Rotella Dr. Mario Rotella we learn that resin-bonded Zirconia bridges are not only possible, but quite predictable and successful!! Thank you ❤️ for all my dental mentors. Now in special cases, we can give our patients another great option in dentistry. Very young patients, patients that want to avoid surgery, and patients of all life experiences can all benefit from this treatment option. Here, my 92 year old patient fell and fractured his 2 front teeth. I gave him the options of extracting teeth, grafting, placing 2 implants, and waiting 8 months until he could smile again or after extractions and healing another option which was half the price, half the time and he’s already smiling.
