Meet Geta Ahmad

Founder & Registered Dental Hygienist

Geta Ahmad is the founder and manager of GetaSmile Dental, and a licensed Independent Registered Dental Hygienist with a deep passion for patient care and community well-being.

Her journey into dentistry is both inspiring and rooted in resilience. During the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, Geta’s family fled their homeland as refugees. Her parents immigrated in the early 1980s, and their dedication and sacrifice instilled in her a strong desire to pursue a meaningful career in healthcare. With a lifelong interest in medicine and dentistry, Geta chose a path that would allow her to honor her heritage while giving back to her commuunity.

In her spare time, Geta is an enthusiastic learner—always reading, studying, and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in dental science. She also values teamwork and collaboration, and enjoys working closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver well-rounded, patient-centered care.

Her ultimate mission is to support both oral and overall health, offering compassionate, high-quality treatment that empowers patients to smile with confidence.

Geta Ahmad, is the proprietor and manager of GetaSmile Dental as well as an Independent Registered Dental Hygienist. During the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, her family fled the country as refugees. She had always wanted to work in the medical or dental field because she wanted to honour her parents, who immigrated in the early 1980’s. Her ultimate dream and goal is to become a dentist in the near future to help her community. She is enrolled in Bachelor of Health Sciences program.

Dr. Steven Zhao possesses a strong passion for providing personal, patient-centered, and evidence-based care through continuing education courses. He was awarded the Toronto Crown and Bridge Award for the most outstanding work in prosthodontics and restorative dentistry while obtaining his Dental Degree from the University of Toronto. He also has a special interest in cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry.
