While brushing and flossing are important in maintaining a healthy mouth, there are some habits that need to be avoided to ensure your teeth stay strong and in good condition 💪🏽
Habits to avoid 👇🏼
🚫 Biting your nails
🚫 Chewing ice
🚫 Using your teeth as tools (opening packages, bottles, ripping off tags)
🚫 Grinding your teeth (stress or grinding in your sleep can wear down your teeth, and a night guard could help. Both grinding and snoring could be a sign of sleep apnea!!)
🚫 Sipping sugary drinks throughout the day (pop, juice, coffee — try drinking them quickly or through a straw to minimize the effect on teeth)
🚫 Skipping your dental checkups (regular check ups catch problems early so you avoid disaster later)
