🦷 After tooth loss, the alveolar bone no longer receives the same mechanical stimulation and gradually begins to remodel.

Over time, the bone ridge may lose both height and width. This is why the anatomy of a patient who has been edentulous for several years can be very different from that of a patient who has recently lost their teeth.

🦷 Before an implant can biologically integrate with the bone, it must exhibit what is called primary stability.

⏳ This refers to the mechanical stability achieved at the time of implant placement.

Over the following weeks, the bone remodels around the implant, and biological stability gradually develops through osseointegration.

This is why immediate loading does not mean "instant healing."
