A challenging anterior case with a rewarding outcome.

A patient presented with root resorption affecting a front tooth, requiring a precise and biologically driven treatment approach. Following a fully digital workflow, we completed the treatment plan digitally, designed a surgical guide, and performed an atraumatic extraction with immediate implant placement.

To preserve esthetics from day one, the patient’s own natural tooth was adapted into an immediate provisional restoration right after surgery. The gap between the implant and the facial bone was grafted, and a soft tissue graft was placed to help compensate for the natural tissue shrinkage that can occur after extraction.

After 3 months of healing, allowing both bone and soft tissue to mature, the crown was screwed on the implant.

The final crown was crafted to mirror nature—matching the adjacent tooth seamlessly and blending harmoniously into the smile.

Modern dentistry is not only about replacing teeth. It is about preserving tissues, respecting healing, and recreating natural beauty.

This patient came to me struggling with a non-functional upper partial denture.
Eating was difficult, speaking felt uncomfortable, and smiling… something he preferred to avoid.

After a comprehensive analysis of his bone structure, bite, and all prosthetic options, we chose a solution that is both predictable and time-tested.

✔️ Upper jaw: 4 implants placed to support a locator-retained overdenture
✔️ Lower jaw: a skeletal denture to restore balance and stability

A challenging case that shows how function and aesthetics must always go hand in hand.

This patient presented with a fractured upper lateral incisor, multiple failing fillings, and a collapsed bite caused by long-term tooth wear and structural loss.

🔹 Step 1 – Immediate implant placement
The fractured tooth was carefully removed and replaced with an immediate dental implant - straumann BLX.

🔹 Step 2 – Immediate loading
To preserve the natural emergence profile, the patient’s own tooth was adapted and used as a provisional crown directly on the implant.

🔹 Step 3 – Restoring function
Using the injectable composite technique, the remaining teeth were rebuilt to increase the vertical dimension and restore a stable bite.

The goal was not only to replace a tooth, but to recreate harmony between teeth, bite, and smile.

✨ The treatment is still in progress, but the first steps already show a significant transformation in both function and aesthetics.

A reminder that modern dentistry allows us to combine implantology, adhesive dentistry, and digital planning to achieve predictable results.

1-year follow-up of a referral case I had the pleasure to see today.

This case was treated with:

After one year, the bone and soft tissues remain stable, healthy, and harmonious, confirming the importance of precise surgical planning and careful soft-tissue management for long-term success.

Tandvleestransplantatie onderkaak!

Bij recessie ( tandvlees die teruggetrokken is ) kan het zachte tandweefsel verplaatst of aangevuld worden om de blootliggende tandhalzen te bedekken en het tandvlees te stabiliseren.

Doelen:
✔️ Beschermen van tandhalzen
✔️ Verbeteren van esthetiek
✔️ Versterken van keratiniseerd mucosa
✔️ Preventie van verdere recessie
