🤰 Pregnancy & Dental Care
Pregnancy brings physiologic changes that can influence oral health and modify dental treatment planning.
🔹 Why It Matters:
Understanding these changes helps ensure safe and effective dental management for both mother and fetus.
🔹 Trimester-wise Considerations:
1st Trimester: Avoid elective procedures; focus on prevention and patient education.
2nd Trimester: Safest period for routine dental care and scaling.
3rd Trimester: Keep appointments short; position patient on the left side to prevent supine hypotensive syndrome.
🔹 Goal:
Maintain oral health while safeguarding maternal and fetal well-being. 👩⚕️👶
