If you think, or know, the answer is 'no' then avoid the hard stuff so that you don't end up with a dental emergency over the festive season. We are on summer break from Wed 21 Dec to Thu 26 Jan inclusive. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone and thank you for trusting us with your dental care throughout 2022. We're back in the clinic on Friday 27 January 2023.

Retrieved a message today on our telephone and this was how the message began: "Hello, hi there, good afternoon, my name is ...". Talk about covering all bases. After all that, the person didn't even leave a number. Go figure.

Take note: the clinic will close for the festive season from the end of business Tuesday 20 December and will reopen Friday 27 January 2023. The phone and email correspondence will be remotely monitored for registered patient emergency inquiries (i.e. patients on our books, not new patients). Emergency bookings over the festive season will be by appointment only.

Silly season has begun and that, for some people, means a rush to use their health fund benefits before the end of the year (aka'use it or lose it'). What do we always say? Book your regular dental appointment months ahead to ensure it's set and forget until we call to confirm. If you want to know what type of flowers kitty has on its head there is a clue in today's post. Tell us if you know what they are.

Today's tooth brushing tip: Apply a pea-sized amount of toothpaste on your brush (manual or electric), brush twice daily for two minutes, change your brush or electric brush head every three months, brush all tooth surfaces in your mouth's four quadrants (upper left and right and lower left and right) for 30 seconds. And finally eat five servings of vegetables and fruits each day. Too easy.
