With the number of cases on the rise, do you know the latest self-isolation rules?

Changes have been made to the self-isolation period for COVID-19 cases.

You must self-isolate for 7 days from the day you were tested.

You can only leave self-isolation after 7 days if you do not have a sore throat, runny nose, cough or shortness of breath.

You will receive an SMS from NSW Health after 7 days but you do not have to wait for this SMS to leave self-isolation if it has been 7 days since you were tested.

If you have a sore throat, runny nose, cough or shortness of breath in the 24 hours before your 7 days is finished, please call the NSW Care at Home Support Line.

If you are under the care of a clinical team, your team will tell you when you will be released from isolation.

Dentists say teeth grinding has increased during the pandemic - with stress, uncertainty and additional responsibilities at home during lockdown cited as reasons behind the uncomfortable trend.

ADA NSW President Dr Michael Jonas was interviewed for ABC News Online for his comments on the issue.

"It's one of the things that most of us are seeing and talking about, more jaw and grinding problems than we've ever seen before."

Dr Jonas noted a considerable increase in patients "..arriving with headaches and neck aches and an increase in people breaking teeth."

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning

Do you remember placing your baby teeth under a pillow and having money magically appear the next day?

A visit from a Tooth Fairy is a very big deal for a lot of children. Over many centuries parents have developed traditions to excite their children about losing their first chompers. It can provide comfort to many kids who may experience pain and fear associated with losing their baby teeth.

Happy National Tooth Fairy Day!
