🦷✨ Orthodontics is about more than straight teeth! 🦷✨

It also considers how your teeth and jaws fit and function together.

Good alignment and a well-functioning bite can help with:

✓ Chewing and speaking
✓ Making your teeth easier to care for
✓ Supporting a healthy, confident smile 😁✨

🦷 What is an underbite?

An underbite is when the lower teeth sit in front of the upper teeth when the mouth is closed.

Children generally don’t outgrow an underbite and, in some cases, it can become more noticeable as they grow. The earlier an underbite is assessed, the better, as some cases can benefit from treatment while the jaws are still developing. 😁✨

After their assessment, if it’s too early for treatment, we monitor your child’s development with FREE Annual Growth Checks.

🤔 CAN ORTHODONTICS HELP AN UNEVEN JAW?

🦷✨ What does your bite have to do with your smile? 😁

The way your upper and lower teeth fit together is called your bite.

A well-functioning bite can make it easier to chew, speak and care for your teeth, while also helping to create a beautiful smile. 😊✨

Because a healthy smile is about more than just straight teeth. 💙🦷

🦷 Keep up your brushing and flossing- especially around your brackets and wires

🦷 ORTHODONTIC Q&A: WHAT TYPE OF BITE DOES YOUR CHILD HAVE? 🤔

🔹 An overbite is when the upper front teeth overlap the lower teeth too much.

🔹 An underbite is when the lower teeth sit in front of the upper teeth.

🔹 A crossbite is when some upper teeth sit inside the lower teeth when biting together.

Every smile is different! 😁 An orthodontic assessment can identify any bite concerns and determine the best way forward. ✨

If your child isn’t ready for treatment, we’ll monitor their development with FREE Annual Growth Checks until the time is right. 🌱

🦷 EARLY ASSESSMENT ≠ EARLY BRACES ✨

An early orthodontic assessment doesn’t necessarily mean early treatment. 😊

After their assessment, if your child isn’t ready for treatment yet, we monitor their development with FREE Annual Growth Checks until they’re ready to begin. 🌱

The right treatment at the right time. 💙
