MOUTHWASH — or in our case a preprocedural rinse - have been shown to dramatically reduce the viral load associated with dentally generated aerosols . By up to 95% I learnt at my latest seminar . Also associated with this is the diminished risk of inhalation pneumonia .

So the lower the bacterial and viral load in your ( oropharynx ) mouth and throat — the lower risk to yourself and others .

This may be especially relevant under current circumstances.

I’ll rinse to that , cheers

nb this is just my opinion based on recent research and observations

Get it right the first time.

We look at the different types of orthodontic braces and what to consider before paying for them – Invisalign, lingual, fast braces and more.

Moving forward, at your next appointment you will encounter some changes as follows:
Social distancing – we have increased our appointment lengths, therefore minimising contact between patients.

Hand Hygiene – We will be asking you to use our Alcohol based hand rub on entry and exit of our practice.

Pre procedural mouth rinsing– As most of you know, we often did this, however, this is now a compulsory measure. You’ll be asked to do this before we begin your dental procedure. It is a protective measure for all of us, that helps to reduce the amount of bacteria in your mouth.
And as an added precautionary measure, please thoroughly brush and floss your teeth prior to your appointment.

We have taken this opportunity to implement and update our policies and procedures, which include all members of our team frequently participating in ongoing education & training.
For those of you who have been patiently awaiting our call, please know, you’ll hear from us soon.
Thank you for all your support over the last few months. It is truly appreciated.
We look forward to seeing you!
