When is the right time to start braces? 🦷✨

One of the most common questions we hear from parents is: “When should my child start braces?”

The answer is… it depends! Every child develops differently, and the best timing depends on their teeth, jaw growth, bite, and individual needs.

At Sky Orthodontics, we believe treatment should start at the right time — not simply the earliest time. An early orthodontic assessment (around 8-9 years old) can help identify potential concerns and allow us to monitor growth.

Sometimes, the best treatment decision is to wait and review until the timing is ideal. We are committed to providing honest, ethical, and personalised advice, recommending treatment only when we believe it will provide a genuine benefit.
