Consultation and Preparation
Your dentist will examine your tooth and determine if a CEREC crown is the best option. The tooth is then prepared by removing any decay and shaping it for the crown.
Digital Impressions
Instead of traditional molds, digital impressions are taken using a state-of-the-art scanner. This creates a precise 3D model of your tooth.
Crown Design
Using CAD software, your dentist designs the crown to fit your tooth perfectly. You can even see the design process on the screen.
Fabrication
The design is sent to the in-office milling machine, which crafts the crown from a block of high-quality ceramic in about 15-20 minutes.
Sintering or Glazing
The crown then goes into the our in-house furnace which allows the crown to obtain its strength and shine. The process usually takes 20-25minutes.
Placement
Once the crown is ready, it is bonded to your tooth with a strong dental adhesive. Any necessary adjustments are made to ensure a perfect fit and bite.
