A root canal doesn’t “kill” a tooth.
It’s performed because the inside of the tooth is already infected.
The goal is simple:
Remove bacteria.
Disinfect the canal system.
Seal the tooth so bacteria can’t return.
Most people imagine root canal treatment is dramatic.
In reality, once the infection is under control, the process is usually quite routine.
The real problem isn’t the root canal.
It’s the infection that made it necessary.
