Treatment by Dr Dan Siddiqui (Registered Dental Practitioner | DEN0002804043)

Primary Treatment: Dental crowns to restore the shape, strength and appearance of damaged teeth.

A crown is a custom made restoration that covers the visible portion of a tooth above the gumline. At the first appointment the tooth is shaped to make room for the crown, an impression or digital scan is taken, and a temporary crown is placed to protect the tooth. The final crown is made in a dental laboratory and shaded to match the surrounding teeth. At the second appointment the temporary is removed, and the crown is fitted, checked against the bite and cemented into place.

Treatment consisted of two appointments over a three week period. The final image was taken immediately following treatment completion.

Individual results vary depending on the amount of remaining tooth structure, the health of the tooth and surrounding gums, and the way the teeth meet when biting. Crowns can chip, wear or need replacing over time, and ongoing care and regular check ups are required.
