COVID19 - Restrictions Eased:-
Great news! Due to the improving situation the previous government restrictions have been eased as of this coming Monday the 27th of April.
This allows dentists to see all patients in need of treatment as well as regular checkups.
There will remain some minor limitations to treatment and we are implementing many additional recommendations to enhance infection control.
Changes include:
- Screening patients for respiratory/flu symptoms over the phone.
- Restricting use of instruments that generate aerosols.
- Pre-appointment mouthwash for patients.
- Intensive environmental/surface cleaning between patients.
- Social distancing in our waiting areas.
- Additional time between patients to enable social distancing as well as cleaning.
- Stringent hand hygiene for staff and patients.
These changes are in addition to our 'standard precautions' that have been in place, such as: sterilisation of all dental instruments, disinfection of dental chair surfaces between patients, as well as appropriate PPE (e.g. masks, gloves and eye-wear) for our staff.
