I don't know if this has been done or published before. For now I'll call it the GIC Injection Technique - a method to restore the buccal / disto-buccal / distal of molars where access is challenging. In this case the disto-buccal of 18 was restored.

Nice way to end the week. Replacement of 11 with an immediate implant, Socket Shield, immediate provisional crown and PFZ screw-retained implant-borne crown on a customised titanium abutment. Post-op photos taken at insertion of definitive crown - some papillary infill is expected in the coming year. Masterful work by Ricky Lee

From the Archives. I was chatting with some mates today about amalgam and I thought of this case I treated 20 years ago as a 1st year pros registrar. The patient, a 52 year-old male with GORD, was unable to pay for treatment so I restored his teeth with amalgam and composite under the public healthcare system. I wonder how well the restorations have held up. My guess would be that most of the amalgams have survived, while most of the composites have not.
