If I post a photo of a diseased tooth, Facebook blocks the image and posts a graphic image warning
If I wanted to post a photo of two boxers covered in blood, looking a pair of roosters in a cockfight, well that's perfectly ok..
What a crazy world we live in

I used to feel guilty because I don't use bamboo handled toothbrushes but read this ...
Hello Recycle Hero!

We’ve been asked by a few Recycle Heroes about how to recycle bamboo. A lot of us made the switch to bamboo toothbrushes, for example, as it was advertised as the eco-friendly alternative to plastic. But how friendly is it?

A product may be labelled as "bamboo" but contains a significant amount of plastic. If you’re looking for such a product, look to see if it’s 100% bamboo. If it’s been mixed with plastic or chemicals, you can’t put it in the compost bin. Right now, we are not aware of anywhere in Australia that recycles bamboo products. (If you do, let us know!

A rare opportunity to HELP the Timorese people AND own a piece of AUSTRALIAN CRICKET memorabilia

The Aussie cricket team, which is currently touring India, appears to be reinvigorated. Some argue that it’s down to the leadership of Steve Smith, the team’s current captain.

This year, the Timor-Leste Dental Program turns 20! It is the longest running dental program in Timor-Leste.
Our mission continues to improve Timor’s oral health by providing dental services to remote communities and mentoring Timorese health workers.

For our 20th anniversary, Steve has kindly donated a personally-signed cricket bat to raise funds for the Dental Program.

The opportunity to own this collector’s item is via auction on our page.

The auction starts on Monday 13th March 1700 AEDT and ends Friday 17th March 1700 AEDT.

Please bid generously to help a worthy cause and own a piece of Australian history.

How it works:

1. Find the auction post. Handy Hint: It will be the one with the cricket bat picture and the title AUCTION
2. Write your bid for Steve Smith’s bat in the comments.
3. Bid must be more than the starting bid and must be more than the previous bid.
4. Bidding ends Friday 17th March 1700 AEDT ( Sydney time).
5. The bat must be paid for by Monday 20th 1700 AEDT or it will go to the next highest bidder.
6. Buyer pays for shipping. The bay is in Sydney, so a pick-up may be possible to organise. If you need a shipping estimate please send us an email [email protected]
7. Once you have won, I will comment on your winning bid to let you know you have won 🙌

The last Hurrah

I will be working in the CBD from Wednesday 8th March, only a day a week unless I get busy. I know this wont suit everyone, and I am sorry about that, but the time has come when I have to start thinking about doing other things, besides putting my hands into mouths! It's a beautiful modern practice and I hope to be there for quite some time!
