Another certificate to add to our wall 👨‍🎓 🎉🍾 Congratulations and well done to our Dr Jeff who spent a whole year of postgraduate study on implant surgery.

That’s a lot of hard work and dedication outside of work hours, and not to mention those nappies changing and daddy’s duties as both Dr Jeff and Dr Jen welcomed their second baby last year.

Some of you may have brittle, sensitive teeth or noticed your teeth becoming shorter and smaller over time? Let’s talk about worn teeth today. 🤔

These are commonly caused by acid wear or grinding. If you grind or clench your teeth when your feeling stressed, this can cause the enamel to wear down prematurely, can also lead to the formation of micro-cracks in the tooth enamel.

If you have gastrointestinal disorder eg reflux or if you consume acidic food or beverages the acid soften and weaken the enamel. Common acidic beverages are sodas and citrus juices.

Treatment options may include

👍🏻 dental bonding to improve the appearance also addressing the bite alignment and any sensitivity issues. Just like the picture shown above!

👍🏻 Switch to a soft tooth brush and do not brush immediately after acidic drinks consumption

👍🏻 Wear a mouth guard (to prevent you from grinding your teeth at night)

👍🏻 Stay away from acidic foods/beverages.
