Bleeding gums when you brush or floss? It may be worth looking into.

Bleeding is one of the more common signs of gum disease, a condition caused by plaque and bacteria building up along the gum line. When caught early, gum disease is generally reversible with the right care.
A gum assessment involves checking for bleeding, measuring plaque levels, and examining the pockets around each tooth. From there, a thorough clean above and below the gum line is carried out to remove the source of inflammation, followed by a review three months later to monitor how the gums are responding.
