A common question we get asked is “when should children have their first dental visit?”. The recommended time for a first dental visit is when your child gets their first tooth or their first birthday, which ever comes first. Even if your child doesn’t have many teeth, these early visits are so crucial in setting them up with good dental health for life. It not only helps familiarise your child with the dentist and clinic, it is an important time to pass on information and a chance to ensure that all is well and prevent possible issues from arising.
