Reducing your sugar intake can help avoid tooth decay. 🦷
Sugar is a magnet for bad bacteria in your mouth. 🍭
When you eat it, harmful bacteria can feed on the sugar and form dental plaque, leading to holes (decay) in your teeth.
Avoiding food and drinks that are high in sugar is part of maintaining good oral health.
Here are some simple food swaps you can make. 👇
Some other things you can try include:
👉 limit sugary foods and drinks between meals
👉 wash your mouth with water after eating sugary foods to help dilute the sugar
👉 drink water throughout the day.
