17 years ago, this terrified 8-year-old girl walked into the surgery where I used to work. Today, at 25, she proudly showed me her engagement ring. 💍🥹❤️

From a new grad to now, she's been with me every step of the way. I've had the privilege of watching her grow up, one check-up at a time.

I've always cared for my younger patients like my own, so this felt a little like watching my own daughter get engaged.

Yet in my eyes, she's still that little 8-year-old girl. 🥹

Moments like these remind me why I love being a dentist.

Reunited after all these years 🦷💙

One of the most rewarding parts of dentistry is the people you meet along the way. I first met this lovely patient over a decade ago, when she was just a kid at a practice I used to work at. She found me again and came in for a check-up, all grown up!

Grateful for moments like this, and a lovely reminder of why positive dental experiences from childhood matter. 😊
