With our personalised and professional service, we strive to make your dental experience a comfortable and pleasant one. Our state-of-the-art 5 chair dental practice in Port Hedland is the most comprehensively equipped in the Pilbara and we are able to cater to all of your dental needs. Our staff consists of two dentists with over 60 years combined experience, two hygienists and a team of dedicated ancillary staff who are all residential. This means, that you will get to see the same friendly faces at each of your appointments. We look forward to working in partnership with our clients to help them achieve their goals for a healthy mouth and a confident smile.

We are looking for a lovely dental assistant to join our team at Hedland Dental Care 😁
Employment will preferably be long term, starting on a casual basis and candidate must be flexible with hours as our days vary. Otherwise, school hours may be discussed.
Experience is not required as we’re happy to train the right candidate.

As part of our team, you will have a rewarding job including a diverse range of activities that may vary from day to day.

This includes:
• Assisting dentists chairside, with a variety of general dental procedures e.g. passing instruments, operating suction and mixing materials
• Attending to patient needs and being a compassionate source of care
• Preparing for and cleaning up after procedures, including sterilisation of instruments
• Acting as the first point of contact for patients at reception - taking payments, scheduling appointments, preparing patients for procedures, explaining treatments, updating patient records, etc.
• Developing X-rays, and operating digital imaging equipment

Personal attributes include:
• excellent communication skills
• enjoy interacting with other people
• organised, quick and an efficient manager of time
• meticulous and pays great attention to detail
• possesses good manual dexterity
• skilled at multitasking
