Last week marked the end of a chapter—a meaningful and emotional moment as Dr. Gary completed his final week serving the Port Hedland community, a place he has travelled to with dedication since 2018. It was a memorable moment to switch off the lights and lock the clinic door for the very last time.
Our Port Hedland trips have always been more than just work. They carried the weight of early mornings, with our team catching the 6 a.m. flight to ensure patients were seen on time. There were countless hours of travel, planning, and sacrifice; but these journeys were also filled with laughter, lots of shared good meals, and the kind of camaraderie that only comes from working side by side through the years.
Port Hedland gifted us its own unique beauty—the towering salt mountains, coastlines glowing under the Pilbara sun, and the longest trains we had ever seen. These sights became part of our routine, part of our memories, and part of our story.
As this chapter closes, we look back with gratitude. Thank you, Dr. Gary, for your years of commitment. And thank you to the team whose dedication made every trip possible—and memorable. 🫶🙏
