Patient presented with pain , pus ,bleeding on probing of deep periodontal pocket & was worried that he would lose his tooth.
Examination showed elevation of gingiva, mobility
& an angular osseous defect on same tooth.

With minimally invasive nonsurgical treatment , I was able to relief the pain & save the tooth . The patient was very happy.

“Periodontal abscess”- It is a localized accumulation of pus located. Within the gingival wall of the periodontal pocket/sulcus , resulting in significant tissue breakdown .

Young patient presented with very painful , bleeding gums & halitosis

Necrotizing gingivitis ( Acute necrotizing gingivitis) is an acute inflammatory process of the gingival tissues characterized by presence of necrosis /ulcers of interdental papilla, gingival bleeding & pain, & halitosis.

Immediate treatment is required to manage the disease , relief the pain and prevent further tissue loss .

Patient presented with sensitivity & bleeding related to her lower tooth. She was worried that she would lose her tooth.
Gingival graft was performed to cover the recession and improve the gingival phenotype & vestibular depth.

Full & detailed Medical history check is sooo Important for every patient.

Drug induced gingival hyperplasia /Overgrowth.

Drugs associated include Calcium channel blockers (Nifedipine, Amolidipine) , Penytoin & Cyclosporin.

Severe gingival overgrowth in patients with poor plaque control may lead to tooth loss
