✨ Restoring more than just a smile

Sean’s treatment was all about bringing health, strength and aesthetics together to create a result that feels natural and suits him.

His treatment included five zirconia crowns across his upper front teeth, along with carefully planned composite resin build ups to restore and refine the surrounding teeth.

✨ Can changing a few details completely change the way a smile feels?

For Garry, the goal was to create a smile that felt natural, balanced and still completely his own.

His treatment was carefully planned before anything began, including a mock try in so Garry could preview the proposed changes and be part of the decision making process.

His smile transformation included professional whitening followed by 10 individually planned ceramic veneers across the upper smile, from teeth 15 to 25. His existing crowns on the two front teeth were also removed as part of the restorative process so the final smile could be designed cohesively.

What we love about Garry’s result is that we haven’t tried to make every tooth look identical. There is still beautiful natural character, texture and variation in the final restorations. 🦷✨

The result is a brighter, more harmonious smile while still looking like Garry. 💙

✨ What does a full smile reconstruction actually involve?

For Angela, this transformation was about much more than changing the appearance of her smile. It involved careful planning, restoring function and rebuilding her teeth with a long term approach in mind.

Angela’s journey began with detailed diagnostics, including models, a wax up, occlusal analysis and a prototype smile so the proposed changes could be carefully planned before treatment began.

Her treatment then involved extensive restorative dentistry across both her upper and lower teeth, including ceramic crowns, implant supported crowns and restorative treatment, completed over several stages. Due to the extent of treatment required, portions of Angela’s care were completed under GA.

Once her new smile was in place, her bite was carefully assessed and fine tuned, followed by a custom occlusal splint to help protect all that beautiful restorative work. 🦷✨

Cases like Angela’s really show why comprehensive dentistry is about so much more than simply making teeth look different. It’s about considering the whole smile, the bite, function, longevity and the person behind it all. 💙

✨ What does it take to rebuild a smile when the front teeth have been significantly compromised?

For Dale, this wasn’t about a quick cosmetic change. It was a carefully planned restorative journey focused on rebuilding his smile with strength, function and a natural appearance.

His treatment included implant surgery to replace the upper front teeth, provisional restorations throughout the healing and planning stages, digital scanning, a final implant supported bridge from 12 to 22, and a zirconia crown on tooth 13. 🦷

The provisional stage was an important part of the process, allowing the smile to be carefully assessed before moving to the final restorations. Once everything was ready, Dale’s final bridge and crown were fitted, with close attention to the shape, colour, bite and overall balance of his smile.

We also digitally scanned Dale for a custom upper splint to help protect his new restorations moving forward.

There is a lot of planning, precision and teamwork behind transformations like this, and seeing it all come together is incredibly rewarding. 💙

🦷 Why do we take X rays when everything looks fine on the outside?

Because sometimes the things we need to check are hiding where we simply can’t see them! 👀

Bitewing X rays allow us to look between the teeth and underneath the surface, helping us identify things like early decay that may not be visible during a regular dental examination.

For our younger patients, we only recommend X rays when they’re clinically appropriate. And because we know new experiences at the dentist can sometimes feel a little strange, we take our time, explain what’s happening and make it as relaxed as possible. 💙

You may have also heard that Haider, our Oral Health Therapist, is now seeing children at Sparkle! ✨

Haider loves working with kids and has such a gentle, easygoing approach. From routine check ups and preventive care through to children’s restorative dental treatment, his focus is on helping kids feel comfortable in the dental chair while building healthy habits that can stay with them for life.

And yes... cool glasses are always an option. 😎
