One of the first things people ask about aligners is whether they hurt.

It’s a fair question, especially if you remember what braces felt like.

Aligners mostly feel more like pressure than pain. You might notice it more when you switch to a new set, usually in the first day or two as the teeth adjust

Change to a new set in the evening to give your mouth time to adjust while you rest, and it will feel easier by the next day.

Keeping up with your wear time also makes a difference. When aligners are worn consistently, each new set feels more manageable.
