🦷 WHAT IS AN OPG?

You may have seen our OPG room, but what exactly is an OPG?

An OPG (Orthopantomogram) is a panoramic dental X-ray that gives us a clear view of your teeth, upper and lower jaw, and surrounding structures in one image. 🩻

Unlike small bite wing X-rays, which focus on specific areas of the teeth—particularly between the teeth—an OPG gives us a much wider overall view.

An OPG can be useful for assessing things such as wisdom teeth, tooth development, jawbone health, and can assist with treatment planning.
