The more complex the treatment, the higher the maintenance costs and more expensive the complications. You need to be able to finance long term maintenance and repairs. And complications will happen. Before you commit, consider the need for long term financial requirements.

The lecture will illustrate the new European Guidelines on the Prevention and treatment of peri-implant diseases, and the following topics will be addressed:
• Principles and treatment concepts
• Which methods should be used? Which methods should not be used?
• Implant surface decontamination procedures: Which protocols are recommended?
• Systemic antibiotics: Does it help? Is it justified?
• Reconstructive procedures: Are bone grafts or bone substitute materials required?
