: The hardest part of dentistry isn’t drilling a tooth. It’s making decisions when there isn’t an obvious answer.Anyone can appreciate a beautiful smile or a perfectly placed filling.

What often goes unseen is the thinking that happens before a single instrument is picked up.

Every symptom is a clue but not every clue points in the same direction.

A tooth can hurt even when it looks healthy.
An X-ray can appear normal while a patient is in genuine pain.

Sometimes the best decision is to treat. Sometimes it’s to wait. And sometimes it’s recognising that the answer lies beyond dentistry and guiding a patient to the right specialist.The real challenge isn’t doing more it’s knowing what the patient truly needs.

🔵It takes curiosity.
🔵It takes listening.

: Proud of his early roots in Fiji, Dr Shakti moved to Australia at a young age, where he embraced the Australian way of life and built a rewarding career in dentistry.

If you've met Dr Shakti, you'll know him for his ever-present smile, positive energy and genuine ability to make people feel at ease. His warm, approachable nature and cheerful personality help even the most nervous patients feel comfortable from the moment they walk through our doors.

With more than a decade of clinical experience, Dr Shakti has a special interest in implant dentistry, orthodontics, restorative dentistry, and surgical and cosmetic procedures. He enjoys combining science, precision and creativity to help patients restore healthy, confident smiles. Many of his patients continue to travel long distances to see him years after their very first visit.

Committed to continual learning, Dr Shakti has completed advanced training through Trinon Collegium Implant Institute, Osstem Implant Comprehensive, Implant Ninja and ongoing orthodontic education with Ortho Ed. He believes the best dentistry comes from thoughtful planning, attention to detail and building genuine relationships with his patients.

Giving back has always been close to his heart. For more than 10 years, Dr Shakti has volunteered on medical and dental outreach programs throughout Fiji and Cambodia, providing care to communities with limited access to dental services.

Outside the practice, Dr Shakti enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, keeping active at the gym, and playing soccer and golf.

Saman's career has been anything but ordinary. She worked as a Brand Manager for leading multinational companies, helping shape iconic brands before spending over 16 years teaching marketing and business strategy at Australian universities.

In a time when genuine customer service often feels like it's disappearing, Saman is passionate about bringing it back. Patients love her warm smile, quick wit and genuine interest in getting to know them. By remembering names, family milestones and the little details, she helps every patient feel recognised, valued and truly welcome.

When she's not at the practice, you'll likely find her exploring op shops for hidden treasures, restoring vintage furniture, hiking, or enjoying a simple old-school instant coffee with milk her drink of choice!

: One of the biggest challenges in dentistry is explaining what you can’t always see or feel. ❤️

🔵 A tooth can have a deep crack with very little pain.
🔵A cavity can grow silently before it becomes sensitive.
🔵Gum disease can progress for years without obvious symptoms.
🔵An infection can be hiding beneath a tooth that looks completely normal.

These are the conversations we have every day. Our job isn’t just to treat teeth it’s to help our patient’s understand what’s happening, why treatment is recommended, and what could happen if it’s left untreated. ❤️

Because the best decisions are made when you can see what we see.

Cath is our dedicated Senior Dental Assistant, bringing warmth, patience, and reassurance to every appointment. Whether she’s assisting with implant, orthodontic, or restorative treatments, Cath loves helping patients feel comfortable before their treatment begins.

With a Certificate III in Dental Assisting and a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, Cath has always been drawn to caring for people of all ages.

For nervous patients, Cath is always ready with a kind word, a calming conversation, and even a hand to hold when a little extra reassurance is needed. Her gentle nature helps patients feel supported, understood, and less overwhelmed throughout their visit. She especially enjoys connecting with older adults, listening to their stories, and helping make their dental visits feel less overwhelming.

Outside the clinic, Cath is a wife and mum to three adult children. She enjoys going to the gym, walking her dog, ballroom dancing, beach walks, and finishing a coastal stroll with a refreshing swim.
