: Meet Catherine Cameron the calm, caring face helping patients feel at ease at Riverlands Dental.

Cath is our dedicated Senior Dental Assistant, bringing warmth, patience, and reassurance to every appointment. Whether she’s assisting with implant, orthodontic, or restorative treatments, Cath loves helping patients feel comfortable before their treatment begins.

With a Certificate III in Dental Assisting and a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, Cath has always been drawn to caring for people of all ages.

For nervous patients, Cath is always ready with a kind word, a calming conversation, and even a hand to hold when a little extra reassurance is needed. Her gentle nature helps patients feel supported, understood, and less overwhelmed throughout their visit. She especially enjoys connecting with older adults, listening to their stories, and helping make their dental visits feel less overwhelming.

Outside the clinic, Cath is a wife and mum to three adult children. She enjoys going to the gym, walking her dog, ballroom dancing, beach walks, and finishing a coastal stroll with a refreshing swim. We’re so lucky to have Cath as part of our Riverlands Dental team. Be sure to say hello next time you see her in the clinic!

Small in stature, but never in presence . Known for her gentle approach and calm nature, Dr Sandy is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable, confident, and cared for.

Having trained and worked across different healthcare settings and cultures, she values understanding every patient’s unique background, experiences, and comfort levels when it comes to dental care. Her diverse background helps her connect with patients from all walks of life and tailor treatment in a way that feels personal, supportive, and understood.

From graduating top of her dental school in Nepal to continuing her healthcare journey in Sydney, she brings together precision, compassion, and a love for creating healthy smiles.Outside the clinic, she enjoys travelling, reading, and chasing new adventures ❤️

For some people it’s fear of pain, for others it’s loss of control, past experiences, embarrassment, or even avoiding the dentist for years because the anxiety became overwhelming. Feeling anxious about treatment is real and our clinicians focus just as much on how patients feel emotionally as they do clinically. ❤️❤️

That’s why we offer supportive care and sedation options tailored to individual needs:
🔵 Nitrous oxide (happy gas) : a mild inhaled sedation that helps patients feel calmer and more relaxed while staying awake and responsive.
🔵 IV sedation: provided under the care of a trained seditionist for patients needing a deeper level of relaxation during treatment.

Sometimes the biggest step is simply walking through the door and we’re here to make that step easier, judgment-free, and comfortable from start to finish.

: Dr Faris Kirmani, founder of Riverlands Dental in North Richmond, has led the practice for over 20 years, growing it from a single-chair clinic into a modern, multi-chair dental centre serving generations of local families.A University of Queensland graduate, he began his career in Sydney’s CBD before moving into regional practice, an experience that shaped his patient-first philosophy and commitment to community care. Alongside managing a busy practice and family life, he has continued advanced training, including a Graduate Diploma in Dental Implantology completed during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as further studies in orthodontics and complex care.Under his leadership, Riverlands Dental has expanded into orthodontics, dental implants, and sedation dentistry for anxious patients, while also partnering with a specialist oral surgeon to provide comprehensive surgical care when needed. This integrated approach reflects his vision of accessible, high-quality, and patient-centred dentistry for the community.
