There’s a line in a song by Van Zant that goes, “if you want to hear God laugh, tell him your plans”. I didn’t plan to stop practising so soon, but an irreversible neurological condition affecting my right hand has made that decision for me.

With all my heart, I thank the wonderful people I have had the privilege of working with, colleagues, medical and paramedical colleagues, staff and of course, the families and children who have trusted me along the way. I believe the team at iKids and early Prime Children’s Dental Care have provided the children of Perth and beyond, with the highest standard of care. In recent years our collaboration with Eve Coote of Best Start Lactation assisting nursing mothers and babies was for many, life changing.

Thank you all for your kind thoughts, thank you for your kind messages and thank you for a wonderful career.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that iKids Paediatric Dental Care has now permanently closed.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for the trust you placed in us and for allowing us to care for your children’s smiles over the years. Being part of so many families’ dental journeys has been a true privilege. We will forever be grateful for the relationships we built and the memories we shared. They will remain with us always.

During this time all children can access the 24 hour on-call emergency dental service, available through Perth Children’s Hospital emergency department for:
Emergency pain relief, traumatic orofacial injuries, oral haemorrhage and odontogenic infections.

Our wonderful Oral Health Practitioner, Rachel has retired from Clinical work and we are so sorry to see her go but wish her all the happiness.

Rachel has worked at iKids for the past 11 years, but off and on with Dr Tim for the last 20 years. Her dedication and hard work will be greatly missed by Dr Tim, staff and all our patients, we have been very lucky to have her as part of the iKids team.

A week ago we farewelled our wonderful Robyn Riley, who is retiring after a fabulous career as a Dental Therapist. ⭐️

Robyn has worked with Dr Tim for over 25 years and has been a huge asset to iKids and looked after so many children throughout the years. 💐

She will be greatly missed but we wish her all the happiness in her retirement, spending time with family and travelling. ✈️

Thank you Robyn for all you have done for us and our patients. ❤️

Happy Halloween from the team at iKids 🎃👻

On Wednesday 26th July the iKids team completed the Cynergex management of medical emergencies in the dental practice course.

Dr Tim and Oral Health Practitioner Robyn can be seen below providing treatment to a patient that had gone into anaphylactic shock, whilst OHP Rachel cares for Dad (Atlas) who had fainted.😉

At the completion of the course the team were able to unwind for their team building exercise with a relaxing yoga session.

Where are we located?

Getting here by car:

From the south -
Exit Canning or Leach Highways onto Stirling Highway and proceed North to the lights at Alfred Road. ikids Dental Care is three doors north on the right opposite the North Fremantle train Station.

From the north -
Travel South along Stirling Highway to North Fremantle area. iKids Paediatric Dental Care is on the left about 100 metres past the Dingo Flour Mill. The driveway is immediately past the Bus Stop opposite the North Fremantle Train Station.

Using public transport:

Train -
Take the Perth – Fremantle line and alight at the North Fremantle Station. The Practice is opposite on Stirling Highway but please cross at the lights just south at Alfred Road.

iKids Paediatric Dental Care is an innovative and technology enhanced specialist paediatric dental practice that focuses on making a change in the dental care of young children. - Reduce recovery time for patients
- Establish an oral health ethos for each family that can be passed on to future generations

what is specialist paediatric dentistry?

Paediatric Dentistry is the specialist field for oral and peri oral care of infants and children who are physically, neurologically or medically compromised, children with congenital oro-facial defects, children who for reasons are unable to be cared for by the general dental practitioner (e.g. advanced cases of dental caries, chalky teeth and soft tissue anomalies) and neurologically compromised adults.

Paediatric dentistry involves all fields of dentistry including dental restoration, oral medicine and pathology, oral surgery, periodontal care, endodontics, interventional orthodontics and the management of oro-facial trauma.

Paediatric dentists help little people become big people with great smiles, healthy mouths and healthy lives.
