- SUGAR -
When sugar is consumed it interacts with the bacteria within the plaque to produce acid. This acid is responsible for tooth decay because it slowly dissolves the enamel creating holes or cavities in the teeth.
A way to prevent this from happening, is to rinse your mouth with water after consuming sugar. This acts as a natural cleaning agent, washing the sugar off the side of your teeth.

We do CEREC crowns!
CEREC crowns are placed in a single visit. Dentists prepare the tooth, fabricate the crown and cement it in place within two hours.
Traditional crowns require two visits. Dentists prepare the tooth, take impressions and place temporary crowns during the first visit. Then the real crown is cemented on the second visit 2 weeks later.🦷

- SUPER CARS-
We're all very excited for the 2023 Newcastle 500 Supercars kicking off this Friday the 10th March.
This won't affect access to our building, however we please ask to leave plenty of time prior to your appointment to find parking as our city will be very busy!

Manual or Electric toothbrush?
Both brushes are very effective, if you're using them correctly!

Manual brushes are most effective when being used on a slight 45 degree angle parallel to your teeth with the bristles slightly under your gumline. Proceed brushing for 2 minutes in small gentle circles and covering all the surfaces of the tooth.

An electric toothbrush is great for people with limited dexterity as the handle has a larger surface for an easier grip. Patients will also find the oscillating head extremely beneficial for cleaning as the head of the toothbrush does the work for you.
