We all love some "reindeer food" for Christmas eve, but a good thing to remember is that we have the animals and environment to think of. Can we try to only use food in the mix and maybe stay away from the chocolate or glitter for the animals? We will have our own set up for families to make a safe option to use Christmas eve.

We had a blast supporting our Bluestone community in the safe trail event for Halloween. Well done for another great event for the year.

We have been looking at summer safety this past month, leading up to summer. We have been practicing on our safety evacuation ropes, team training out of hours and group times in the preschool spaces. Today we were excited to have the Mt Barker CFS join us here for the children to explore the truck, ask questions and become familiar with those who help our community.

Now more than ever. National reconciliation week.

For us here at Guardian Mt Barker it is important for us to give children the opportunities to learn about our indigenous culture.

Through a variety of resources and activities we will be extending on our embedded experiences here in the service.

Here we have an interactive display in our foyer for our touring families to engage with.

Did you know that today is the ALIA National Simultaneous Story time. Today at 12 pm we in the Kindy 2 room, together with many classes over Australia will be reading the same book by the Australian Author, Aura Parker, at the same time.

The children have been enjoying the story table experience leading up to today. We value the Joy of Reading here at Guardian Childcare and education Mt Barker.
