Did you know in 1950 the average amount left by the tooth fairy was $0.25 cents, but the going rate today is $2.00

Fortunately, our understanding of the mouth-body connection has also inflated since 1950.

Covid 19 update......I think it should be renamed a Covid 21 update, but I digress...
Despite being an "Essential Service" Sapphire Dental Care will not operate routine clinic hours during this lockdown. A skeleton team will be available and will treat genuine dental emergencies.
Our team will be contacing clients who are scheduled next week to find alternative times.
The lockdown is about limiting movement of people to minimise the spread of this Delta variant and we want to do our part to help achieve a swift positive outcome.
Stay well everybody.

NEW ONLINE VACCINATION BOOKING SYSTEM
Southern NSW Local Health District in Bega is taking public bookings for COVID-19 vaccinations on a new online platform that offers a simpler and faster registration process.
People can view, reschedule or cancel appointments themselves, as well as select the date, time and clinic for their first and second dose vaccinations.
The booking system allows people to disclose medical conditions before they attend a clinic, which is then automatically reviewed to determine if vaccination is safe for them.

‼ Local COVID-19 cases ‼

[UPDATED 3.35pm Friday 1 January 2021 - additional testing locations]

Two visitors to our region have tested positive for COVID-19.

The cases travelled to New South Wales from Victoria on 30 December 2020 and had dinner at the Great Southern Hotel in Eden from 5pm to 6.30pm. They also ate at Bermi’s Café in Bermagui from 9am to 10am on 31 December. Contact tracing is underway.

If you were present at these venues, during the times listed, please wait for public health to contact you. A dedicated testing facility has been organised for venue and case contacts to ensure priority access to testing. The public health team will provide this information.

Bega Valley Shire Mayor, Russell Fitzpatrick said it is an important reminder to remain vigilant, and if you feel unwell, even with the mildest of symptoms, self-isolate and get tested.

A drive through testing clinic is available at South East Regional Hospital (Bega) until 7pm today.

From Saturday 2 January 2021, the following testing sites will be available:
• Bega South East Regional Hospital, 8.00am to 7.00pm
• Bermagui Dickinson Oval, 2 Wallaga Street Bermagui, 10.00am to 3.00pm
