‼ Local COVID-19 cases ‼
[UPDATED 3.35pm Friday 1 January 2021 - additional testing locations]
Two visitors to our region have tested positive for COVID-19.
The cases travelled to New South Wales from Victoria on 30 December 2020 and had dinner at the Great Southern Hotel in Eden from 5pm to 6.30pm. They also ate at Bermi’s Café in Bermagui from 9am to 10am on 31 December. Contact tracing is underway.
If you were present at these venues, during the times listed, please wait for public health to contact you. A dedicated testing facility has been organised for venue and case contacts to ensure priority access to testing. The public health team will provide this information.
Bega Valley Shire Mayor, Russell Fitzpatrick said it is an important reminder to remain vigilant, and if you feel unwell, even with the mildest of symptoms, self-isolate and get tested.
A drive through testing clinic is available at South East Regional Hospital (Bega) until 7pm today.
From Saturday 2 January 2021, the following testing sites will be available:
• Bega South East Regional Hospital, 8.00am to 7.00pm
• Bermagui Dickinson Oval, 2 Wallaga Street Bermagui, 10.00am to 3.00pm
• Eden Community Health Twofold car park, Bass Street Eden, 10.00am to 2.00pm
