A few days of learning in Sydney 📚

Eshan and Tara recently attended a Myobrace training course, expanding their knowledge of early orthodontic treatment, jaw development, airway, and oral habits in growing children.

These are topics we regularly discuss with parents because the early years can be an important time to identify habits and developmental patterns that may influence how a child's teeth and jaws develop.

Continuing education like this helps us have informed conversations with families and provide personalised advice based on each child's individual needs.

Another qualification for the clinic wall 🎓

Dr Eshan recently completed a Master's in Laser Dentistry through the Laser & Health Academy.

The program included more than 200 hours of training across five modules, covering laser physics, laser safety, restorative dentistry, endodontics, periodontics, implantology, orthodontics, and photobiomodulation.

A significant investment of time, study, exams, and clinical training has gone into this qualification and it has well and truly earnt its place on the wall.

Jaw pain isn't always just about the jaw. The muscles and joints of the jaw, neck, and shoulders work closely together, so it's not uncommon for discomfort in one area to be linked with another. Headaches, neck stiffness, shoulder tension, clenching, grinding, sleep and breathing can all form part of the picture.

You may have noticed we use ozone in a few different ways around the clinic. But what exactly is it?

Ozone has a number of applications in modern dentistry, which is why you'll find it integrated into several parts of our practice. We use ozonated water during EMS Airflow cleans and selected treatments, ozone spray as a chemical-free surface disinfectant, and a medical-grade ozone air purification system to support a clean clinical environment.

Each application has a different function, but together they help support hygiene protocols that are chemical-free and eco-friendly.
