How often do I need to visit my orthodontist? π¦·β¨
Great question, and one we get asked all the time! During active treatment, most patients visit their orthodontist every 6 to 8 weeks. These appointments are essential for adjusting your braces or checking in on your aligner progress, making sure everything is moving exactly as planned.
Once your treatment is complete, your orthodontist will schedule retainer check-ups to make sure your smile is staying in place, because all that hard work deserves to be maintained! π
Every smile is different though, so your visit schedule may vary depending on your individual treatment plan. The best thing you can do? Show up to every appointment. Skipping visits can actually slow down your progress and extend your treatment time.
Think of your orthodontist appointments as pit stops on the road to your dream smile, small pauses that keep everything running smoothly. ππ
