OUR RESPONSE TO COVID-19
At Prime Endodontics, the health and wellbeing of our patients has always been our utmost priority. This commitment is unchanged, and we are taking every step necessary to maintain our high standard of care and excellent infection control standards to keep all of our patients safe.
As Australia and the world faces this challenging time, we at Prime Endodontics want to inform all of our patients (past, present, and potential) of the precautions that we are taking to ensure your health and safety, so that you can feel comfortable.
We believe it is critical that we all play a constructive role in supporting both local health officials and the government as they work to contain the COVID-19 virus. We also feel it is important to take a calm and balanced approach, making sensible decisions and focusing our efforts on practical, meaningful actions that prioritise the health and wellbeing of our patients.
Anne, our practice manager, is sending out this text message to every one of our patients the day before they come in for a consultation or procedure:
“In preparation for your appointment at Prime Endodontics with Dr David Figdor tomorrow, can you please confirm that you or anyone you live with have not travelled overseas in the last 2 weeks and you don’t have any symptoms of being unwell. We are screening our patients and thank you for your understanding. Please respond to this text or call me on 9822 1130 if you wish to discuss further.”
This screening procedure ensures that the patients we do see face-to-face are well and healthy, lowering the risk of spreading infection. Furthermore, all of our staff follow strict cleaning, infection control, and hygiene procedures (as we have always done).
