Mark’s smile, planned one step at a time 🦷

Every smile plan at CLDC starts with a conversation. For Mark, it also started with a preview.

Here’s how Dr Yvonne King, Dentist, approached his treatment:

1️⃣ Gum recontouring reshaped the gumline to create a more even frame for the upper teeth.
2️⃣ A mock-up gave Mark a temporary preview of the proposed veneers, so he could see the shape and length before anything was finalised.
3️⃣ Porcelain veneers were custom-made and bonded once the design was agreed.
4️⃣ Lower teeth whitening brought their shade closer to the new upper veneers.

The mock-up step matters. It gives you a say in the design (shape, length, how it suits your face) before you commit.

Do your teeth look shorter than you'd expect, or does your smile show more gum than you'd like?

Sometimes the teeth aren't small at all. Extra gum tissue can cover more of the tooth, which can make teeth look short or uneven.

At Cosmetic & Laser Dentistry Centre, we use laser gum recontouring to reshape the gumline and reveal more of the natural tooth underneath. It can also be used to create an even gumline before veneers or crowns.

It isn't right for everyone. Your dentist will assess your gums, teeth and overall oral health, and talk you through what may be appropriate for your individual circumstances.
