We will still be screening our patients so please reschedule if you have COVID-19 symptoms or been to a current exposure site. Masks are still required for your visit and we will advise when you can remove your mask for treatment.

For all those patients who missed out on their scheduled appointments during the recent lock-down, we will be in touch with you to reschedule.

We are looking forward to seeing all your smiles again!

Hi everyone! As you are probably aware there are some new restrictions coming into place for Greater Melbourne area from 6pm tonight. The biggest difference for your visit to the dentist is that you will be required to wear a mask when you come to visit. We will instruct you when to remove your mask before your treatment. There are exemptions to wearing a mask.

The staff will also need to wear a mask for the entire duration of your visit, so as disconcerting as it can be to not see our smiles, please know that we are smiling underneath the mask!

As always, follow the directions of DHHS. If you have been to an exposure site at the listed times, if you are awaiting a COVID-19 test result or if you have symptoms of any respiratory illness, including the common cold or flu, we please ask you to reschedule your appointment. If you are concerned at all, you are welcome to call and ask.

Your smile is important!
If you are experiencing pain, swelling or dental trauma you can still seek treatment during the current stage 4 restrictions. Call your dentist to find out how you can access treatment. Other dental treatment is on hold during this time.

As always, its important to look after your teeth and mouth with good brushing and flossing habits.

**IMPORTANT UPDATE** Updated government advice regarding provision of emergency dental care by dentists in BOTH the public and private sector:

Procedures and surgical treatment undertaken by dentists in the management of:
i. patients with obvious facial swelling due to infection i.e. vestibular swelling (no trismus), facial swelling (with trismus); or
ii. facial trauma; or
iii. severe unrelenting pain.

The original government advice only allowed for dentists in the public sector to provide emergency dental care during this lockdown. As a result of our discussions this has now been updated to include all dentists in both the public and private sector.

It is with great regret that I have had to take indefinite medical leave and focus on my upcoming surgery. With my out of the blue diagnosis, and the negative impact the current pandemic can have on my upcoming surgery, I am unable to see patients at this time. It pains me to not be able to see everyone's lovely smiles for the next few months, however, I am looking forward to coming back to work in the new year.

Until then, stay safe, brush and floss your teeth, and be kind to one another.

Madeline is restricting services to urgent and emergency treatment only. Elation Dental will only be open certain hours, please check the voicemail message for updated hours. Whilst we would like to help everyone, we are doing what we can to help limit the strain on medical primary care and emergency services, whilst also doing everything possible to limit the spread of COVID-19.

The extra protocols in providing you services are to keep both you, our valued patients, and us (and the wider community) safe from the spread of the virus. Thank you for understanding.

If you're not sure whether we can help you with your dental problems, give us a call / leave a message on 9725 2029!

Ensure you're taking good care of your teeth and mouth

As I'm sure everyone is aware, we are in an ever evolving situation here in Australia. Dental treatment is classified as an essential service and is currently still available. Dental treatment is currently being limited to help prevent the spread of disease, so many non essential treatments are not being performed, that otherwise would. This is changing daily and we are doing our best to accommodate everyone and their health needs.

We ask that you continue to maintain good oral hygiene daily (brushing and flossing) as well as a good diet.

If you are unwell or in close contact with someone who is unwell, please call to reschedule your appointment. We will aim to keep you updated as the situation changes. Thank you for your cooperation.
