Some tips for maintaining strong healthy teeth:
🪥Brush twice a day using a fluoride containing toothpaste
🦷See your paediatric dentist regularly
🌟Clean between your teeth with floss
🍬Consume less than 6 teaspoons of added sugar per day

Meet Dr Stephanie Shields. Dr Steph is a specialist paediatric dentist who completed her undergraduate dental training in Queensland at Griffith University in 2012. She then worked for nearly a decade in private practice, including 6 years in Darwin, before moving to Melbourne to complete her specialist training in Paediatric Dentistry at the University of Melbourne.

Dr Steph loves seeing children of all ages and particularly enjoys treating children who have dental anxieties, special needs or medically complex backgrounds. Her special interest is molar incisor hypomineralisation (or “chalky teeth”) and she is currently completing a PhD in the area at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute and the University of Melbourne.

Dr Steph will be joining us and consulting on Tuesdays Wednesdays and Thursdays.
