Small change, big difference
This smile was refreshed using enamel microabrasion alongside professional teeth whitening. No drilling, no anaesthetic, no veneers.
So what actually is microabrasion? It’s a conservative technique where we gently buff away an ultra-thin, surface layer of enamel (we’re talking microns) using a fine abrasive combined with a mild acid. It’s used to soften the look of superficial discolouration like white or brown spots and light surface staining, while preserving as much of your natural tooth as possible. Paired with whitening, it can help even out overall tone.
Because it’s minimally invasive, it’s often one of the first options we explore before anything more involved.
Every smile is different, and the right approach — and the outcome — always comes down to an individual assessment. If you’d like to know whether it might suit you, book a consultation and we’ll walk you through it.
