📣 Wondering when children should start brushing their teeth independently?
This will depend on the child! Our tip is that when your child reaches the age where they can be consciously aware of ensuring they reach all the surfaces of each tooth, and trusted to brush them all - they can do it alone! It is very common for young Children to need supervision and assistance during their first decade of life, encouraging them to take an active role and a good technique with their dental hygiene sets the foundation for a lifetime of healthy smiles. 😁✨

🌟 Check up & Clean at VDG 🌟

In between visits to Victorian Dental Group, plaque or tartar can start to accumulate on your teeth. We recommend every 6 months that you visit the team at Victorian Dental Group so that we can remove any plaque and/or tartar. Using a specialised instrument called an ultrasonic scaler and high-quality hand instruments, our dental practitioners can painlessly remove this build-up to get your teeth and gums in tip-top shape.

After removing all the hard to remove build-up, your teeth will begin to feel nice and smooth as we finish with a polish to remove stains, leaving your teeth sparkling clean. This is done with a special hand-piece that buffs off stains using a specially formulated toothpaste to give your teeth a gorgeous glow! 🌟 😁

✨Veneers are a popular cosmetic dentistry option for improving the appearance of your teeth. They can be used to correct a variety of dental issues, including chips, cracks, gaps, and uneven teeth.
But what exactly are porcelain veneers made of? Porcelain is a type of ceramic material that is known for its durability, strength, and natural appearance. When used for veneers, porcelain is carefully crafted and shaped to match your existing teeth and create a seamless, natural-looking smile.

Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral that can help prevent tooth decay by strengthening the enamel on your teeth. It can also help repair early stages of tooth decay before they become more serious problems.

One of the easiest ways to make sure you are getting fluoride to protect your teeth is by drinking tap water.
Otherwise, it can be found in fluoridated toothpaste and mouthwash. In some cases, our team may recommend addition fluoride to protect your teeth, if this is the case, we will let you know how this can be achieved.

Overall, fluoride is a simple and effective way to keep your teeth healthy and strong. 💪
